How This Came Together
This project started with a simple idea. Take a tool that is already built with intention and add another layer of craft to it.
Each net begins in the shop as a steam bent hardwood frame. Once shaped, sanded, and assembled, the handle is sent off to Sanborn Canoe where it is hand painted using their own approach to color, pattern, and texture.
The result is a small run of nets that sit somewhere between tool and artwork. Built to be used, but made to stand apart.
